Mitch Olson Obituary, Death – He was the son of Geraldine Marinacci Olsen, who passed away, and John Olsen, who was born on August 12, 1961 in the Bronx, New York. Mitchell spent 34 years working in the steel mill industry and had a strong interest in establishing new mills throughout his career. He was a jovial person who was constantly the center of attention wherever he went.
Everyone who knew him and cared about him adored him. The joy that Mitchell found in his life was provided by his grandchildren, Austin and Logan. Ronald Olsen, Mitchell’s brother, also passed away before him, following in the footsteps of their parents. Mitchell is left by his devoted wife of 38 years, Arlene Bond Olsen; their daughters, Jessica Hinton (Brian) and Matthew Olsen; grandsons.
Austin Hinton and Logan Hinton; aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews; as well as a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law. On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, the family will be present at the McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in West Ashley to greet visitors from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for the visitation. At the McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in West Ashley on Thursday, October 27, 2022, there will be a funeral service held at 10:30 in the morning.
After the service, burial will take place at Live Oak Memorial Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina. Following the burial, the family will have a reception for friends and family at their home located at 1696 Sulgrave Road, Charleston, South Carolina 29414. Donations in memory of the deceased can be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in place of flowers.
